Asli Polat gears up for the Fall Winter 15 season with a distinctively kitsch nod towards 1970’s Americana - taking reference from mid-western rodeo towns with classical equestrian shapes alongside a robust autumnal palette inspired by the great American outdoors.

Signature sports styles feature alongside new proportions for a playful silhouette, exploring nostalgic references to wholesome Americana through rich prints and textures; a custom oxblood tartan is printed on PVC as well as heavyweight cotton to introduce a mood of rustic layering. Parka’s styled with diaphanous mid-calf dresses offer a nod to Amish traditional dress. Long sleeved and nipped at the waist dresses combine the bohemian with familiar retro associations.

Traditional rural work wear is incorporated in the form of staple-separates including fuller ankle length shirts and high neck ruffle collared cowgirl shirts in demure monochromatic black creating uniquely androgynous, waist defining silhouettes.

Other signature pieces include Ostrich feather trimmed silk short-sleeve tops and ribbed black city shorts again in oxblood tartan overlaid with a sheer black silk georgette.

Outerwear is luxurious, rugged and durable; including a shearling cape and parka, wide buckled suede jackets, box cut round neck seamless crop bombers and mohair hooded duster coats. A collaboration with Steiff, the legendary German fine teddy bear company, offers an array of luxurious mohair parkas and wrap around scarves in the familiar Steiff wool which has been in production since 1880.

In contrast to the texturised warmth of the heavier fabrics, lightly billowing thigh-skimming dresses in black silk chiffon with delicate applique and generously cut-out hem lines offer a more sensual element to the collection.

A distinctly Fall-like colour palette again takes reference from 60’s interior design: deep tones of oxblood and merlot, dusk blues and dove greys featuring heavily alongside neutral hues of nude and classic white. Bold flashes of rust and tangerine offer a striking contrast to this autumnal rural vibe.

Asli Polat and her team are also pleased to be working alongside Dazed and Confused fashion Editor Elizabeth Fraser-Bell, providing the show with her styling expertise and DJ, Producer and visual Artist Jeffrey Hinton who has created a unique catwalk soundtrack.
